Author is really not taking it seriously I appreciate the effort but it’s like she/he is getting it over with their is no details in it like novel at this rate it will end in 20 chapters that’s really messed up but still thanks to author 😞💕
I’ll explain the scene. Zhenya doesn’t really understand what feelings are, because he grew up with a very distorted idea of love and jealousy. To him, when he senses his sister is in the house, it’s not “jealousy” in the usual sense it feels more like he’s losing authority over Taekjoo, so he tries to reassert control. He doesn’t want Taek to get distracted by anyone else or to stop obeying him. So even though it might look like jealousy, for Zhenya it’s really about dominance and maintaining control.
The author mentioned that Zhenya perceives emotions very differently from us. When he experiences what we’d call “love,” it feels strange and unfamiliar to him. And when he feels like he’s losing Taek, it’s not just about losing his “pet,” but also losing the one person who sees him as “normal” despite him being a monster.
You might’ve noticed how Taek asks him very ordinary, everyday questions that’s unusual for Zhenya. Everyone else around him acts out of fear, self-interest, work, or survival. Taek is scared of him too, but he doesn’t submit easily, and that’s exactly what Zhenya finds appealing. It feeds into his behaviour.
Zhenya sees Taek as someone who evokes feelings in him that he has never felt before; every time he makes the “fool” face that Taek always mentions, that’s when he feels a feeling he has never experienced before, In the novel, I think that when he truly feels “love” is when he tries to kiss Taek before he escapes from the island, because before all this he only feels curiosity and can’t “break” Taek. And he feels a need to see when he breaks down, he feels a very strong sexual attraction, but it’s also the way he uses to dominate him.
