i dont fully like him either, and yes, he has manipuled tay but not every single time. ilay didn’t kiss him jst to take adventage or bc he was horny; the artist has showed us a bit how ilay feels in the past, he clearly sucks to express himself and hes emotionally unwell; the fact that he used persons to vent himself ( by sex or fisical warm ) is a clear sing of that, he never had to show how he feelted bc he never had someone that close before, wich is why he started doing those things to tay, thinking it would keep hin for leaving. after all, tay is the only person who has confused him like this.
now its obvious that this is affecting him, which is why he feels the urge to apologize. but the artist cant jst make a stupid “me before😭🖤/me after🧚♀️💗” like those magical changes from one day to another, so she/he add the kiss. it shows how desperate Ilay is to lose tay, he probably thought that tay would not forgive him bc he remained silent, thd anxiety pushed him to express himself physical again, but that’s more a reflection of the fact he hasn’t completely change yet; he still resortes to trying to “convince” tay or manipulate (?) him so that tay will reciprocate or smt like that.
plus, as for tay’s blush, i don’t think its just a random cliche. if yall remember good, tay already has some feelings for ilay. still i don’t really think is jst for that; we all know than tay is very empathetic. plus, let’s remember he was only 97% sure of ilays feelings to him bc the other chapter he didn’t know if he liked him or just liked the sex. i suppose he already knows 100% abt that now and hes nervous of what he’ll do abt that ( plus, remember than tay usually blushes a lot for diferent reasons, 4 example when hes angry, cold, enthusiastic, nervous, etc. )
