I really wanna voice my opinion on this. So take it as you will. I think Jeakyung is a really good, well written character. Im not saying hes a good person, he’s got a shit personality. Anyway, his backstory is perfection. The rise to wealth from poverty, the abuse and the absent mother. It shaped him. The abuse as a child would have long lasting trauma, and the environment he lived in would affect his mental state. Childhood trauma isn’t an easy thing to shake, which is reason why Jeakyung is how he is. Also, he worked for his legacy, and given he was malnourished he had a disadvantage, but he worked for his fame and money anyway. Now, it takes time to heal from trauma, and its hard to help when the stresses of work overwhelm a person, so hes basically suffering from unhealed trauma, and his taking out his stresses and worries on others. Im not defending Jeakyung, im just saying the backstory really did clear things up for ME as to why Jeakyung is how he is. Hopefully we see Kim Dan and Jeakyung together in a HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP, and Jeakyung can heal with love. My opinion, take it or leave it.
